KICKBOXING

Kickboxing is more modern that the other martial arts taught at KMAA. It is a striking martial art, focusing on fast action and physical fitness.  Kaizen MAA is pleased to be offering this very popular martial art.  After some early disappointments with a rapid change over of Instructors, we are pleased that the class is led by Sensei Peter Clarke who holds the ranks of 6th Dan in Jiu Jitsu and 1st Dan in Kickboxing.

Training in Kickboxing is held on Wednesday nights from 6pm - 7.15pm at our West Leeds dojo and is proving very popular.  As with all our programmes, students may enrol at any time throughout the year and programmes are adjusted to meet everyone's need so that experienced students and beginner's alike benefit from the training. Because of its popularity we restrict the number of free places to three per night.

Competitions

Recently the Kickboxing students entered their first competition.- the 1st Leeds Open Kickboxing Championships.  Although they came up against some of the best fighters in the country they all performed with credit and they will have gained valuable experience. Patrick Sharpe, who has received glowing reports before, won the under 50kg event, once again showing his tremendous potential for the future.
